Taiwan – SHIFEN十分放天灯!

Shifen- Sending my wishes to the sky^^^

Shifen Old Streets is a collection of lanes and alleys in and around the Shifen railway station area. Originally built for transporting coal during the Japanese era, the station and track runs straight through the village.

Releasing sky lanterns (放天灯) is a significant ritual in Taiwan and we decided to go there the very first thing in Taipei.
It’s a fun experience for most visitors to Taiwan (and the locals too); its abit out of the way but is worth it. As releasing a real lantern into the sky is first experience for me... It's a symbol of good luck and making all your dreams comes true.

We chose orange color as they said it symbolises Happiness.

Our names and wishes...

I was the one writing almost everything as Amos didn't know how to write in chinese...~

Send our wishes up to heaven~~~

Up u go to the mountains...

The guy asked us to pose like this ok... but it was so sweet.~
